Heinz Salad Cream

Tangy creamy salad dressing · Heinz · Spreads & condiments

must-try

Why it's worth it

Created in 1914, Salad Cream was the first Heinz product made only for the UK, and a planned discontinuation in the 1990s caused a public outcry. Heinz ketchup is sold everywhere, but this British-only dressing is not a Czech shelf item.

Taste

Thinner and tangier than mayonnaise, with a sharp vinegar edge and noticeable sweetness

If you know Czech shelves

Czech tatarka or light mayonnaise is the closest cousin; salad cream is thinner and more vinegary
