Lyle's Golden Syrup

Golden cane sugar syrup · Lyle's · Pantry specialties

must-try

Why it's worth it

Made in London since 1885 and sold in its famous green-and-gold tin, golden syrup is the base of British flapjacks, treacle tart and sticky puddings. It is not a Czech pantry item, and the tin is a nice keepsake.

Taste

Thick, amber, honey-like syrup with a buttery caramel sweetness
